It seems like I haven’t blogged in forever! I just got sucked into all the fall weddings that are coming up in September and October.. to see what Posh Paperie has been up too.. Check out Our Blog. Of course all my normal branding and logo creating has been happening too..
So.. I had to share this branding that was so fun create! Check out their splash pages right now. It is just a great mix of preppy and wedding whimsy. I love love love the navy blue and yellow. All credit on that one must go to the client. I just found it inspirational.. and ran with it.
There are so many fun things on the horizon too!! More Blog posts to come.. I promise!!

I had such a fabulous time creating this logo for Sarah Maizland. Not only is she a very talented photographer.. she also has fabulous taste.. I am always encouraging client to simplify.. and Sarah captured me from the get go.. She wanted something modern and simple… but with a little flair.. Just the way I like it! I can’t wait to see Sarah’s new logo in action!

I am so proud to finally see Jesi Haack’s Website Rebrand.. LIVE!!! Make sure you click through this link to really see the WHOLE THING. I just have a small taste up here on my blog.It was programmed by Cmd mass and, might I say.. it is always so exciting for a designer to see their designs come to life and truly take shape!! I also just had to attach how Jesi placed her contact info. I am *slightly* obsessed with it. It is so exciting when people take risks.. and layout their info in new and interesting ways. Just look at what a BEAUT those phone numbers are.

First things First. You MUST visit Style Me Down the Aisle. I hope that you got as lost in it’s beauty as I did! I had so much fun creating this logo with Sarah ( The fabulous master mind behind Style Me Down the Aisle.) We tossed around a few options… all which included the beautiful color of grey.
I am so happy how reversible this logo is. I can be white on grey like on the site. Or can be Grey on white.. and both are equally as stunning. The most Fabulous thing about this lil logo?! It lives in London. That’s right.. This Bridal blog ( well as Sarah would put it.) is “across the pond”. It was so exciting getting to see the wedding world of blogs and ideas spread to other places and see what they are doing over there as well.
You might as well tab this pretty lil’ blog for future inspiration!

I am in love with these!!! When Bryan Miller contacted me to do his logo.. we also chatted about doing this little number. About a week ago I receieved a package in the mail from Bryan.. and it was the mini folders that we had created! It felt like Christmas for a designer. The best feeling is getting to see your designs in print.. especially when it turns out so unique.
I have always been a fan of *mini* things. Most people always want to do folders to keep everything together for their presentation packets, so I think this type of folder is the best of both worlds. It is more cost effective to keep it smaller, but it has so much appeal too since you don’t see it all the time.
I can’t wait to get to do the mini-folios again!

Two years ago today I married the love of my life. I just remember how excited I was to *finally* become Mrs. Pyke. My wedding day was definitely the best day of my life, even though it goes by in such a blur.. I just remember small snippets… tearing up before I walked down the aisle, talking to my mom when it was almost over, and getting to sit back and finally see the whole day come together. God has such amazing things for those who wait. It was so exciting to see Brian at the end of the aisle, then getting to dance the night away, and then getting to live happily ever after for the last two years.
My photographer was Amy Squires and Lane Dittoe .. I am still so in love with my wedding photos today!!!
I know that I think Brian is hilarious… but you will too….follow him on twitter.. for some great laughs. Then you can have a little piece into how my everyday life is!!
I have the honor of getting to do design for many fabulous clients.. but also for my church! I attend the Rock Church in San Diego , and I have been doing some contract work for them…every so often I get to take part in a wonderful project that just makes me so excited.. This lil’ beauty is one of them. It’s anthropologie meets roughed-up glam. Not only do I love getting to design pieces like this.. but I also think that the message behind it is amazing too. Girls.. getting to hang out with other girls to see how precious their lives are to the Lord..

Jenna is just about the sweetest gal that you will run into.. I have only met her via *cyber space*… that is.. until Friday!!!! I am finally going to get to see her in person to talk about the rest of her branding. I am excited.. and definitely excited to see what else she has in store! She has a lovely photography blog that I frequent often… Check it out here. She also has a little bit of design to her.. I love the accordian flyers that she created with her contact info and images. All the iamges of Jenna’s Business cards are shot by her. I saw them on her blog and just couldn’t resist asking for them. Now.. A few months later.. I finally get to blog them with you. Enjoy!

I love before and afters.. This one in particular I love.. since I love Jackie Wonders. Her old logo is hip and cute, but after talking to Jackie and seeing that she wanted to have detail incorporated….
I did what every designer does.. overstep their bounds.. and start whipping up a few. ( by a few.. I mean 10.)
It isn’t a drastic change.. but it defintely makes a HUGE difference.. and it is exactly what Jackie has been looking for. There is something about hand drawn elements that are captivating. I am not sure if it is the fact that it makes something down to earth, or if it just reflect certain people’s personalities and makes you feel like you know them.
One thing that Jackie and I talked about was avoiding the “cartoony” feel to her logo. By keeping her old font.. (the fabulous futura condensed.. one of my top ten.) and just adding in the hand drawn feather.. it was the best of both worlds. Corporate yet Down to Earth.
There will be more Jackie Wonders Branding to come. Be waiting!!!

I have *loved* getting to rebrand Jesi Haack. I am still doing a few things for her.. and I LOVE it.. The first thing I must mention.. is that she has great style.. Which is why she is a FABULOUS wedding designer + stylist. I can’t wait to see all the new things that she is working on.. The best part about her logo is that it is super clean. Most people tend to overdesign their logos.. but in the long run, the best thing to do it KEEP IT SIMPLE.. simple does not equal boring.. but it definitely lets your work SHINE through.. Branding should be a great backdrop for you product, just like Jesi’s Blog does.. ahhh I love it!!
