I am so excited for Dawn and Elvira of Charlie and Olivia. Their new business is just brilliant in my opinion.. and if they were around while I was planning my wedding.. I would have snatched up their services in a second!! vintage decor rental.. vintage china rental…tabletop rentals..handmade goodness! YES PLEASE!! Below are two pages off their website…can we say delicious OMBRE love!?

Here are the business cards.. printed on a cotton stock.. and the tags are letter pressed! SO FABULOUS!!! I do SWOON over fancy paper.. so pardon my giddy attitude! Another lil thing I love about Charlie and Olivia?! You guess it.. their limited edition logo. I just love the 3 in one so to speak.. the logo is able to go horizontal.. vertical.. and then we have the limited edition version that only goes on EXTRA SPECIAL goods. Oh and the beautiful Spot Calligraphy is by Pink Ink. If you are in the market for whimsy writings.. you need to look no further!

I am so honored to have worked on this project with Jodi of the JPC group. The amount of fabulous ideas that come from this event group are ceaseless. The idea behind this cafe is too keep the resources going. It is set to open Monday March 26th, the interiors is made of sustainable wood, metal and glass accents, using local artisans and businesses throughout the process.

Joining forces with local farms, and organic, free-range egg farmers, and local dairies. I am just so impressed with their business!! I wish I lived pennsylvania just so i could go have a fair trade cup of coffee at element cafe. Not only is the jpc group juggling a new coffee shop and restaurant   Here is a sneak peak of some of the events that the JPC event group throws. ( as seen on SMP.)

As a designer it is so EXCITING to see your designs come to life for your client. I just get happy every time I see the sign above the storefront…. a fresh printed envelope and a crisp menu design.

( i know.. i know.. nerd alert.)

The good news is.. if you are my client.. i just get giddy about your project and I want you to SWOON over each aspect of your branding!

I cannot believe it.. my baby is ONE!!! this past year has flown by! I am just so grateful for our precious, perfect little boy FRANKIE. I am so thankful that the Lord blessed us with such a bundle of joy.. ( please scroll to see the famous “pumpkin” smile.) all in all..iN the craziness of life.. trying to balance work and mommy-hood.. I have never been so happy… so here’s to celebrating my tiny bean today!!

Business cards.. thick cranes cardstock.. and each color is printed in it’s own pantone… **swoon** Worth every penny.. when someone hands you this card.. you MELT.

I love the fonts.. I love the colors..It’s like Jonathon Adler met Kate Spade. Bright, Fun… yet has this understated elegance to it. It makes me want to run out and purchase 20 Kate Spade bangles. haha!

Yes. I am the Girl that is taking more pictures of Logos, signage, and well anything with beautiful typography… more than the people I am with. I just get so inspired every time that I get a *getaway*.. I can’t stop snapping. I am just going to point out a few highlights of these inspiring images.. and will let you just drool over the rest.

#1. Bouchon’s menu. BRILLIANT. love the kraft paper.. love that a fancy restaurant has a down-to-earth menu. In case anyone is going to Napa anytime soon.. get a reservation here.. it is melt in your mouth delicious.

#2. st. helena olive oil co. packaging LOVE… i drooled.. I even spent 40 dollars on salt.. why?! it is because it was so beautifully packaged of course!

#3. Mc Clure’s Pickles + other goods from Dean and Deluca… things I hate. pickles and marshmallows… look so gorgeous.. all because of their packaging… that I honestly want to gobble them up..

The reason for this trip was to celebrate my husband’s 30th birthday…. so I LOVE YOU BRIAN PYKE!!! and happy happy birthday… If you ever want a *peek* into our life.. my husband is hilarious on twitter… follow him at @brianpyke.  I guarantee you won’t regret it!

I loved getting to help Mica with all of her branding! I am just so happy as we keep doing more and more pieces!

Menu: LOVE this! Mica actually framed it in an ornate frame.. I think that it just has such a special touch.

I LOVE KELSEY. There. I said it. She is AMAZING. Not only is fabulous at what she does.. she has the most sparkling personality that I have come across in a long long time.. she always makes me laugh!!! I almost DIED when she showed me what she wanted for her color palette…

***swoon*** The color combo is so different and it just reflects Kelsey’s personality so well!!! The best part about her branding is the mix between the bold letters of her initials and the whimsical flower that lays behind it. I am so happy with all of Kelsey’s Branding.. I LOVE PORTLAND!!!!

o.k. now that I got that out of my system.. I just had to give a shout out to my most recent vacation. I did not take my computer with me.. so it actually counts as a vacation!!! I *obviously* couldn’t get away from good design though… so I just had to share a blogpost on great logos, signage, and amazing typography that was all throughout the city! check out the images throughout the post and really focus on the SIMPLICITY of each icon and typography.. they are divine! *swoon* My husband and I stayed at the nines hotel.. ( which also has a fabulous logo might i add.) and it was AMAZING!!! I would highly recommend that you stay there if you are in Portland anytime soon.. I added a few personal pictures at the bottom.. just because I can’t resist my boys!
